About UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2026

UGC NET Result 2026 — The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is conducted by NTA twice a year (June and December cycles) to determine eligibility for (1) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and (2) Assistant Professorship in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET 2026 result is declared on ugcnet.nta.ac.in approximately 30–45 days after the exam. Candidates who clear UGC NET are eligible to apply for teaching posts and research fellowships in central and state universities. JRF-qualified candidates receive a fellowship of ₹37,000/month (SRF: ₹42,000/month) for up to 5 years.

UGC NET is conducted in 83 subjects covering Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science, Law, Sanskrit, and more.
